Below are the fests and events that Crestites so far have organized, participated, enjoyed and learnt from.
The CRESTA Open Mic is a quarterly event for budding artists and creators to showcase their talents. An evening with a large audience of students, parents and invited guests, it hosts the musical, dance, poetry, comedy and other artistic performances of both Crestites and non-Crestites. This event has served as a launchpad for several local artists, as a safe space for them to explore and experiment with talent and gain valuable feedback from the audience. With festive and optimistic ambience, the Open Mic events encourage every Crestite to come forward and actively participate.

Step Up is the farewell ceremony for Crestites graduating from PUC as well as UG college. It celebrates the end of an epic journey, highlights the ‘step up’ for the new graduates and brings together the entire CRESTA community for one last grand celebration.
CRESTALL is an annual fair organized by Crestites at an educational institute in Mysore meant for underprivileged children. Students collect donations in the form of clothes, toys, utility items, stationeries and other necessities and then create a mock fair for the children to exchange tokens of various denominations or, essentially, buy the items of their choice. Crestites – as well as the underprivileged students – put up performances and add to the joyous atmosphere of this event. This day also includes dedicated time slots and spaces for the two groups to freely interact with each other and exchange their thoughts and perspectives of life. This event is one of the many ways CRESTA fosters a sense of community, and moral and social responsibility in its students.
Muqabla is an annual platform for colleges and their athletes to showcase their talent in a series of tournaments for different sports. This event serves two purposes: It allows students to channelise their passion and interest in different sports into an intense tournament consisting of matches for football, cricket and karate amongst others. It also gives budding sports managers vital exposure to the world of management. They learn how to constantly provide the best experience to every stakeholder involved.
Crestival is a unique one-day fest that is organised to entertain the audiences with famous artists. It is also a springboard for budding artists across Mysore and Karnataka. In the past, it has featured celebrities such as Vineet Vincent, Akshay Dhawan, Awez Darbar, Akasa Singh and Darshan Raval, amongst others. Crestival enables the rising stars in college and the community at large to share the stage with celebrities and launches their performing careers with a bang! Crestival is not only a fun event for the students but also an amazing opportunity to have an in-depth learning experience in organizing and managing large-scale events from scratch. Veterans from the early days of Crestival have also gone on to open their own (successful) event management companies.
Escapade is a fest like no other. It is a survival fest with a variety of tasks that can only be won with a combination of physical and mental prowess. The fest includes rounds that test a team in their physical strength, ability for logical thinking, agility and sound judgement under duress. Teams participating in Escapade are given a limited amount of resources for thirty six hours of marathon rounds of various kinds. Participants need to conserve their resources while gaining points to acquire more resources in order to perform better. All the participants come away with numerous lessons from Escapade. They learn how to lead, manage and perform in a cross-functional team under high pressure, build endurance to stressful situations, and gain the bragging rights of winning in a one-of-a-kind fest!
Every festival is celebrated with pomp and due consideration at CRESTA which is balanced with instruction about their meaning and symbolism. This exposes students to diverse cultures, helping them grow into mature and open-minded individuals who contribute to a harmonious society.
We promote non-academic and artistic potential by providing 50 to 100% of scholarships to students who have excelled in recognized state, national and international platforms for dance, music, drama, photography and videography, literature and journalism, fashion and others. This scholarship is also open to those who have championed social causes or shown entrepreneurial initiative.
CRESTA is a community of dynamic and forward-looking individuals. Rooted in the national spirit with a strong global outlook, we bring together faculty members and students from diverse backgrounds.
