Cultural Club

The cultural club at Cresta organizes colorful and high-spirited events throughout the year. It is responsible for bringing out the hidden talent in each Crestite. The recreational programs part of these events refresh you after rigorous academic sessions. Organizing the events such as the Crestival, members of this club have gone on to open event management companies of their own. Nudging Crestites to explore and exhibit their talents, this club has been the launchpad for the singing and dance careers of various students.

Objective:

The cultural club inspires students to step out of their comfort zone and bring their ‘X’ factor to the forefront. It provides a stage for them to cultivate and display your talent throughout the year. The recognition provided by the club encourages performers to polish and perfect their art. Gaining the confidence to perform for large audiences, they are emboldened to pursue all their engagements with vigor and showmanship.

Activities:

Contemporary dance to beatboxing, the cultural club encourages all forms of art. Be it traditional or modern, the club presents to Cresta and the local community memorable performances in music, art, dance, comedy, drama, and more. The club also sensitizes you to the religious and cultural heritage of our country by organizing themed community celebrations for a variety of festivals.

Sports Club

The sports club organizes events for dedicated sportspersons and athletes and beginners alike.It is responsible for keeping the Cresta community healthy and fit through a diverse set of competitive sports that awaken the team spirit in you. Raising your physical and emotional thresholds, you learn how to coordinate in a team and strive toward a common goal. Also teaching the strategies and nuances of effective teamwork, the sports club organizes gender-inclusive sports that refresh your mind.

Objective:

The sports club drives home the importance of keeping fit and strong, underscoring the role of sports in the development of personality. Keeping with the proverb “A healthy mind in a healthy body”, it encourages all Crestites to realize the potential of their mind by utilizing the potential of their body. The club also instills the values of discipline, diligence and determination in each of its participants. It fosters a sense of community by bringing together students from diverse backgrounds as groups of players and spectators.

Activities:

Apart from the fitness training sessions included in the curriculum, the club regularly organizes tournaments for cricket, football, basketball, hockey, volleyball, throwball, badminton, indoor sports and others. It also hosts the annual sports fest – Muqabla, the Cresta Football League, the Cresta Cricket League, the Judo and Karate Tournament, the Chess Tournament and the War of Crestites.

The Alumni Cell

A voluntary body working under the Student Welfare Office, the alumni cell connects graduates from Cresta to their batchmates and the on-campus Crestite community. It hosts reunions and other events that enable the alumni of Cresta to give back to the community. It also facilitates mentorships that enable you to prepare yourself through the experiences shared by the alumni.

Objective:

This cell aims to preserve and strengthen the relations of the distinguished alumni of the campus with their alma mater. In doing so, it provides a source of inspiration for students who can opt to be mentored by one of the alumni. The cell is a platform for alumni to stay connected to their peers and collaborate with the college for a variety of initiatives.

Activities:

The cell hosts the Annual Alumni Meet to celebrate the achievements of the graduates and share the progress made. Students meet the extended Cresta fraternity and can partake in the Alumni-Mentorship Programme. The alumni cell also recognizes excelling alumni with the Distinguished Alumnus Award.

CSR and Donation Club

The Corporate Social Responsibility and Donation Club invokes social and environmental consciousness and inspires Crestites to undertake voluntary initiatives. It funds and hosts events that provide economic and moral support to the underprivileged while upholding the importance of education and empowerment for progress. Becoming aware of public health, societal and environmental problems of the world outside, students are motivated to do what they can and all they can to contribute to the collective well-being of society.

Objective:

This club sensitizes future managers, technology professionals and entrepreneurs to the overlooked privilege of health and wealth. It exposes them to the challenges of being underprivileged thereby stressing the significance of social entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility. Improving awareness of environmental issues, it evokes a sense of duty and responsibility toward the natural ecosystem. Fostering gratitude, compassion and social justice, it organizes activities that lead students to think beyond their career goals and gain a larger and more inclusive perspective of life.

The CSR and Donation Club organizes fund-raising events for a variety of causes, green drives, tree planting exercises, blood donation camps, awareness campaigns, charity programs for the education of underprivileged children and more.

Digital Marketing Club

Through this club, digital marketing enthusiasts at Cresta gain systemized knowledge about the booming sector. They also get exclusive opportunities to create innovative campaigns for brand awareness. Members of the digital marketing club add certifications provided by reputed trainers to their resume, in addition to obtaining professional insights into social media optimization and marketing for both individuals and organizations. The students learn how to target an audience and drive a digital marketing campaign for optimum results. Generating and converting leads, they either become freelance or full-time digital marketers, or add an edge to their career of choice.

It organizes workshops for you to train you in the latest tools and applications used in the domain. It enlists your help for different campaigns, enabling you to experiment with your own ideas for digital marketing.

Fashion Club

The fashion club organizes theme-based activities and facilitates connections and interactions with the fashion industry. Encouraging you to create designs and participate in fashion events, the club also refines your overall aesthetic sense. This club motivates you to understand the evolution of fashion trends. It also promotes a closer understanding of diverse fashion cultures. The activities conducted by this club are meant to give you practical knowledge and skill in every aspect of hosting large scale events, especially fashion shows. This includes originating concepts and color schemes, designing outfits, sourcing materials, hiring and managing event personnel, setting up the venue, planning the itinerary, marketing the event and making sure everything runs smoothly on the D-Day.

This club helps fashionistas polish and perfect skills required by the entire gamut of the fashion profession. It fosters creativity and provides management experience, thereby equipping students of the fashion domain for their career. Regardless of the role they choose to play in the industry, they enter the fashion arena with experience in the other areas of the field.

This club is responsible for training fashion students in etiquette, grooming, ramp walk and presentation through special training workshops and fashion shows that dazzle and delight. It connects you to employers and experts from the fashion industry. Its flagship fest UGLY (U Gotta Love Yourself) provides a platform for you to experiment with art and aesthetics. It is also responsible for cultural programs such as the Ethnic Day, Talent Hunt, Halloween Celebrations, and others.

Management Club

The management club is a center for future leaders to learn the science and experience the art of management. It familiarizes you with the world of business, equipping you with the skills required to build networks and ensure the success of all the projects you undertake. The experiential learning from organizing myriads of fests, events and programs kickstarts your career in management by sparking your ability and interest in taking initiative. Striving to meet quality goals and the expectations of the community under resource constraints and pressure, you learn all the skills composite in effective management.
Familiarizing you with the business world and building networks, the management club equips you to take initiatives and make better decisions. Through management fests, internships and field visits, you learn the science and experience the art of management.

The Language and Literature Club

Fluency in one or more languages improves cognitive and social skills, providing a competitive edge in your professional life. If you have a flair for language and communication, this club provides the platform for you to utilize your command over language to debate, persuade and negotiate in simulations of corporate meetings, parliament assemblies, the UN and other public speaking forums.
